Estonia-based renewable energy developer and producer Sunly said it has recently secured EUR
65.9 million (USD 70.9m) in financing to construct 58 solar farms totalling about 98 MW in Poland.
The company obtained the senior non-recourse project financing from Poland’s mBank, with the
deal including refinancing of Sunly’s earlier Polish investments, one of which is the 60-MW
Rzezawa solar park, launched last year.
Most of the 58 projects to be supported by the financing are located in the southern part of Poland,
in the provinces of Malopolska, Opole, Podkarpackie, Silesia and Swietokrzyskie.
Sunly, which is backed by French fund Mirova and the European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development (EBRD), currently has 164 MW in operation in Estonia, Latvia and Poland, and 167
MW is under construction.
