Is participation in Wolves Summit worth it?

The primary goal of nearly 70% Startups that join Wolves Summit is to find an Investor or a future Business Partner. "[Thanks to Wolves Summit] we now have the resources we needed to grow our team and build our new services which will allow us to grow and scale much faster.". Words like these make us really happy, as this is the reason why we have decided to organize it in the first place - to provide the innovation community with a platform for building relevant, valuable relationships. Clearly, there is still a need for it in the market.

Each post-Wolves Summit success story that we learn about is important for us, we love celebrating them and we believe those stories can help other founders prepare for the similar journey in a proper way or inspire them to take steps they haven’t thought of before. This is why we always want to tell the world about it.

This time is no different.

When they decided to join Wolves Summit in 2018, their goal was to get funding. To achieve that, they have put much effort in proper preparation, research and polishing their pitch. It is thanks to those choices that they have managed to connect with  Finch Capital - an early stage venture capital firm that later on bacame their investor and enabled them to spread their wings further. Here’s the conversation we had with PerfOps, one of the startups that have used Wolves Summit's potential to the fullest.

Why did you decide to join Wolves Summit?

The timing was great as we were looking for funds and it was very close to Krakow. It only took us 1 day to go to Warsaw and take 7 meetings. Plus, we liked the format of the 15-minute meetings which allowed us to get in touch with many different companies very fast.

Have you set any goals for the conference?

We did lots of research beforehand and scheduled meetings only with those companies that we liked and saw a good fit with. Other than that the goal was to get funded :)

How did you approach networking during Wolves Summit - have you prepared anyhow? What/who were you looking for?

We used the online tool to go through every investor registered there, we prepared a good but summarized pitch deck to make sure it provides all the crucial information while staying interesting. We were looking for companies that would be a good fit and were able to offer us the resources we needed. For example, we made sure their websites said that they invest in tech startups or their portfolio listed tech startups. The other filter was the companies that invest into seed rounds.

Did the Wolves Summit experience change the future and development perspectives of your company? In what ways?

Of course, we now have the resources we needed to grow our team and build our new services which will allow us to grow and scale much faster.

Have you been faced with challenges along the way when you needed to make difficult decisions?

As a startup all early decisions are difficult. But one of the biggest challenges was hiring key personnel that would impact the future of the whole company.

Have you managed to establish valuable partnerships with investors / corporations (that you can already talk about)?

Yes, our partnership with our VCs is already very valuable and we have received a great deal of help from them. But we are also in progress of working out the details of a cool partnership with a big tech company.

What are your plans for the future? Do you have any milestones you dream of crossing?

Future plans include growing our team even further and opening offices in Krakow and USA. A  key milestone we want to achieve is $1M MRR.
