Alpha Wolves was organized in collaboration with the headline partners: Vienna Business Agency and City of Vienna, Green Angel Ventures, Miquido, JWW, and Invest HK.

Alpha Wolves London was opened on 8th March, the International Women’s Day, with a panel discussion about how gender-balanced investment can affect the returns. Let’s give a big shout out to the panelists:

  • Agata Leliwa Nowicka, Founder at Female Foundry
  • Gina King, Co-Founder, Partner & CCO at Supernode Global,
  • Jaysri (Jay) Thangam, Senior Investment Manager, Fund F by Female Founders,

The panelists highlighted the importance of gender-balanced investing and the need to continue the conversation beyond International Women's Day.

On March 9th, the event officially opened with a fireside chat that was focused on scaling up, building a sustainable business and agility in startups. Revolut's Co-Founder and CTO, Vlad Yatsenko, spoke about the company's journey from two people in 2014 to 6,000+ people in over 40 countries with 25 million users and a valuation of $33 billion. Maria Barsuk, an investment director at EBRD, joined the panel and discussed her experience helping a Ukrainian company, Depositphotos, scale up and eventually be acquired by a public company in NASDAQ.

Other notable activities included the GP showcase, where investors had the opportunity to present their fund’s strategies to our hand-picked board of Limited Partners, and the Scaleup Showcase, where scaleups presented their innovative products and services to a diverse audience, along with the expert-led Mentors panel.
